Warning Lamps

These images are intended to be used in conjunction with the tech page regarding Fuel and Ignition Warning Lamps. The first three images are thumbnails.

This first image shows the Ignition Warning Lamp as viewed from the rear of the instrument panel:

The next shows the mounting system.  The lamp socket is inserted into the instrument panel from the front and is retained by a spring, ring and horseshoe shaped clip.

This next image shows how the clip be slid off of the lamp socket to release the ring and spring.  The socket can then be removed from the front of the instrument panel.

Here's what a new socket looks like:

The notch just above the resistance wire is where the horseshoe clip fits into the socket.
