TD for Sale

We all seem to come to this point in our lives. I've had my cars for over 40 years and have financially held on to them all these years with the thought they would help me in retirement. Now I'm here and don't want to part with any of them. A few years ago my father gave me his beloved Karman Ghia to sell before he passed away at 90. Now I know how hard it is.
It's a early 50 TD, #1720, and a ground up restoration that took me 40 years. Not perfect, but a really sweet car.
Have owned this car since 1969. Drove it until 1982 and started restoration in 1986. Entire tear down frame off restoration. The usual sandblast of frame and rebuild of all components. Worked in Dave Raymond's shop where he rebuilt the engine, transmission, rear end, etc. He was my tutor and taught me every step of the way of the proper and correct rebuild.
The car sat and moved as a rolling chassis for the next 20 years never being started. I again got into the project about 3 years ago and finished it, got it registered, and have put about 750 miles on it so far. Everything is new or rebuilt, from new crankshaft, half shafts, brakes, harness, etc., list is too long.
I have been running it without bonnet side panels or running boards as I have not painted them yet. Do not have a front bumper on as I have bobbed front fenders on it and I like the look.
Needs rear bumper bar and overriders, side curtains (have the frames), little bits and pieces that are something a new owner would enjoy doing, nothing major, that's all done.
Asking $19,500.
